Ma Buchanan'S Fudge

   Put sugar & milk in a large, heavy saucepan and bring slowly to a rolling boil. [note: don't use a lid on the saucepan...it *will* boil over, which is a mess.]

   Let boil 8 minutes.

   Remove from heat and add chocolate chips, marshmallows, and butter. Beat only until chips & marshmallows are melted.

   Mix in vanilla and nuts.

   Spread in large ungreased pan.
