2 gal. sliced pickles (I use 2 1/2 gal.)
2 c. lime
2 gal. water
2 qt. vinegar
5 lb. sugar
2 level Tbsp. salt
2 tsp. celery seed

green food coloring

Mix lime and water (be sure to have the lime dissolved in water) and pour over pickles.

Let stand 24 hours, then drain and rinse well.
