Les' Favorite Pie

   Beat the egg whites, cream of tartar, 1 teaspoon vanilla and salt until stiff.

   Add 3/4 cup sugar and beat until mixed.

   Pour into 2 (8-inch) buttered pie pans. Bake for 1/2 hour at 275u00b0. Line with pecans and bake another 1/2 hour.

   Melt chocolate chips, add water and 2 teaspoons vanilla.

   Let cool.

   Beat whipping cream until stiff.

   Add sugar/chocolate mixture mixing well.

   Pour into pans and refrigerate 4 hours.
