Lace Cookies

   Set rack at the upper and lower thirds of the oven and preheat to 375 degrees.

   Combine all the ingredients in a saucepan and bring to a boil over low heat, stirring constantly.

   Drop batter in half taespoonfuls, well apart, on the pans.

   Bake for about 5 minutes, until the cookies are well colored and simmer on the pan

   Remove the pan from the oven and immediately lift the cookies from the surface with a spatula and drape over a rolling pin so they cool curved.

   Allow to cool and crisp.
