Knusezcyki(Strip Cakes)

   Add salt to eggs and beat until thick and lemon colored.

   Add sugar and flavoring and continue to beat.

   Add sour cream and flour alternately, mixing well after each addition.

   Knead on board. Cut small pieces of dough.

   Roll very thin and cut into strips about 4 inches long.

   Slit each piece in center and pull one end through the slit.

   Deep fry in hot fat until lightly browned. Drain on paper towel and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
