1/2 lb. white beans
6 to 8 strips bacon
1/2 head cabbage, chopped
1 medium onion, chopped
1 to 1 1/2 c. tomato sauce
1/4 c. brown sugar
1 Tbsp. dark molasses
1/2 to 3/4 c. vinegar
1/4 tsp. black pepper
salt and garlic powder to taste

Drain soaking beans; cover with fresh water.

Cook until tender.

Meanwhile, fry bacon.

Saute onion in bacon grease or other oil.
