Ingredients: 1 Whole Chicken; 1/3 cup oil; 1 large onion; 4 cloves; 4 cinnamon; 4 cardamom pods; 6 black pepper corns; 2 tsp cumin seed; 2 tsp) salt; 1 tsp garlic; 2 tsp ginger; 2 tomato; 2 tsp tomato paste; 1/2 cup yogurt; 1/2 tbsp Cayenne hot pepper; 3 tsp lemon juice; 2 dried lime; 2 cups Basmati rice; 6 small potatoes; 1 tbsp coriander leaves

1 Whole Chicken
1/3 cup oil
1 large onion
4 cloves
4 cinnamon
4 cardamom pods
6 black pepper corns
2 tsp cumin seed

2 dried lime
2 cups Basmati rice
6 small potatoes

Wash cut chicken in lemon and vineger

Heat (1/3 cup) oil in a large pan over medium heat and fry one large chopped onion until slightly browned

Add (4) cloves, (4) cinnamon, (4) cardamom pods, (6) black pepper corns and (2 tsp) cumin seed and saute for 1 minute

Add chicken, (1 tsp) salt, (1 tsp) garlic, (2 tsp) ginger, (2) tomatos, (2 tsp) tomato paste, (1/2 cup) yogurt, (1/2 tbsp) Cayenne hot pepper, (3 tsp) lemon juice

Cook for 10 minutes or until chicken is cooked.

Add enough water to liberally cover all ingredients (2-2.5 cups)

Add (2 cups) Basmati rice, (6) small potatos, (1 tbsp) coriander leaves, (1 tsp) salt and gently mix together

partially cover pan and cook on medium for 15 mins

put in oven at 300 F (150 C) for 15 minutes
