2 egg whites
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
2 1/2 c. oats

1/2 c. raisins or chocolate chips

Beat together applesauce and sugar until light and fluffy; blend in egg whites and vanilla.

Add combined flour, soda, salt and cinnamon; mix well.

Stir in oats, raisins or chips; drop dough by level 1/3 cup measures onto greased cookie sheet about 4 inches apart and 2 1/2 inches from edge of cookie sheet (or heaping tablespoonfuls about 3 inches apart and 1 1/2 inches from edge of cookie sheet).

Bake in preheated moderate oven (350u00b0) for 15 to 17 minutes or until lightly browned.
