Jewish Apple Cake

   Combine the first 8 ingredients; blend thoroughly with mixer. Set aside.

   Peel the apples; slice into bite size pieces.

   Combine apples with cinnamon and sugar.

   Layer cake batter and apple mixture in greased tube pan, beginning and ending with cake mixture.

   Bake in a 325u00b0 oven for 1 1/2 hours, or until top is crusty and brown.

   Delicious served warm with ice cream.
