Italian Dream Cake

   Cream well the sugar, Crisco and oleo.

   Add 5 egg yolks, one at a time, and beat well after each addition.

   Add vanilla.

   Mix flour and soda and add alternately with the buttermilk to the creamed mixture.

   Beat egg whites and fold into the batter.

   Pour batter into 3 greased and floured pans (approximately 8-inch).
