   Grease cookie sheet.

   Into a bowl, sift flour, sugar, salt and baking powder.

   Stir in caraway seed.

   Cut in butter until coarse, like cornmeal.

   Stir in raisins.

   In a separate bowl, combine buttermilk, 1 egg and soda.

   Stir into flour mixture until just moistened.
