Place ice cream on counter for a few minutes to soften. Once softened, scoop it into the prepared pie crust until the crust is almost entirely covered with ice cream (this amount may vary a bit). Press down and spread the ice cream over the crust so that it is an even layer and fill it almost to the top of the crust (you'll need a little room for the hot fudge sauce). Cover it with a sheet of plastic wrap and place in the freezer for at least an hour so that ice cream sets.
2
Remove pie from freezer and pour the entire jar of fudge topping over ice cream layer and spread with a spatula or spoon until completely covered. Cover it and return to freezer until ready to serve.
