Beat butter, vanilla, granulated sugar and eggs in a large bowl with electric mixer until fluffy. Stir in sifted flour and 1/3 cup milk, in 2 batches.

Divide mixture among 3 small bowls. Tint one bowl pink. Blend sifted cocoa with 2 tsp milk in a cup; stir into second bowl. Leave third bowl plain.

Drop alternate teaspoonfuls of batters into muffin cups. Pull a skewer through batters for a marbled effect.

Bake for 20 mins, or until toothpick inserted into center comes out clean. Cool in pan 5 mins. Remove from pan; cool completely on wire rack.

For the buttercream, beat butter in medium bowl with electric mixer until as white as possible. Beat in sifted powdered sugar and milk, in 2 batches. Tint pink with food color.

Spread cooled cupcakes with buttercream. Position marshmallows on cakes -in a cross for kisses and a circle for hugs.
