Hot Cinnamon Apples

   1. Put the apples, lemon juice, cinnamon, butter (if using), and 2/3 cup water in a non-stick saucepan.

   2. Bring to a boil, then simmer over medium-low heat for 12-15 minutes, until the apples are tender, stirring occasionally.
