Homemade Vanilla Extract

   Slice vanilla beans down the center so that seeds are exposed and drop into the bottle of brandy.

   Shake, cover and allow to marinate for several weeks, shaking every few days.

   (It may be necessary to pour off a small amount of brandy to accomodate the vanilla beans.)
