Combine milk, boiling water, sugar, salt and shortening; cool to lukewarm.

Dissolve yeast in warm water.

Add to milk mixture with eggs.

Mix well.

Add 4 cups of flour and beat well.

Stir in enough remaining flour to make a soft dough.

Cover and let rise until doubled in bulk, about 1 1/2 hours.

Turn dough out onto lightly floured surface and knead until smooth and elastic.

Roll dough out to 1/2-inch thickness; cut with a 2 1/2-inch cutter. Brush tops of rolls with melted butter.

Place in a lightly greased baking pan and let rise in a warm place until doubled in bulk, about 45 minutes.

Bake at 400u00b0 for 15 to 20 minutes or until done well.
