1/2 c. brown vinegar
1/2 c. water
1 egg
1 scant c. white sugar
1 heaping Tbsp. cornstarch
1/2 tsp. salt
diced cooked potatoes

celery seed to taste
chopped onion to taste

Mix egg and sugar together in small saucepan.
