Whisk warm water, yeast, and sugar until dissolved. Let sit ten minutes. Add to flour and salt. Add the yogurt and half of the butter. Mix together, then turn out and knead about five minutes, or until smooth and elastic. Return to greased bowl and let stand 1.5 hours or until risen. Punch down, knead five minutes. Divide into 10 pieces.

Use a rolling pin to flatten each piece into a six inch round. Heat a nonstick skillet on the stove. Brush each round with the rest of the melted butter, sprinkle with garlic powder. Sprinkle dough with a little bit of water and toss on the skillet. Fry until cooked through, turning once. Pull off the skillet and sprinkle with pretzel salt, if desired.
