Ingredients: 1 bag 7 bean mix, rinsed and soaked over night or 1 bag 15 bean mix; 7 cups water; 1 ham bone; 1 bay leaf; 1 hot chili peppers or 1 dried chili; 2 teaspoons mixed herbs; 1/2 cup dried parsley; 1/4 cup summer savory; 1/4 cup cumin seed; 2 teaspoons fennel seeds; 2 teaspoons caraway seeds; 2 teaspoons dill seeds; 2 teaspoons cracked coriander seeds; 2 teaspoons sweet basil; 2 teaspoons dried chervil; 1 teaspoon celery seed; 1 teaspoon thyme; 1 teaspoon lemon thyme; 1 teaspoon sage; 1 teaspoon oregano; 1 teaspoon rosemary; 1 teaspoon lavender; 1 teaspoon sweet marjoram; 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper; 1 large onion, chopped; 3 cloves garlic, minced; salt and pepper; 1 (16 ounce) can diced tomatoes; 1 carrot, sliced; 1 stalk celery, sliced with leaves

7 cups water
1 ham bone
1 bay leaf
1 hot chili peppers or 1 dried chili
2 teaspoons mixed herbs
1/2 cup dried parsley
1/4 cup summer savory
1/4 cup cumin seed
2 teaspoons fennel seeds
2 teaspoons caraway seeds
2 teaspoons dill seeds
2 teaspoons cracked coriander seeds
2 teaspoons sweet basil
2 teaspoons dried chervil
1 teaspoon celery seed
1 teaspoon thyme
1 teaspoon lemon thyme
1 teaspoon sage
1 teaspoon oregano
1 teaspoon rosemary
1 teaspoon lavender
1 teaspoon sweet marjoram
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 large onion, chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced
salt and pepper
1 (16 ounce) can diced tomatoes
1 carrot, sliced
1 stalk celery, sliced with leaves
2 medium potatoes, diced
4 ounces green beans, trimmed and chopped
1 -3 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
2 drops honey
minced fresh green herbs

Boil the drained, soaked beans with the water, bone, bay leaf and chili in a large pot.

Reduce to a simmer and simmer for 3 hours.

Add the remaining ingredients and simmer for 1 hour longer.
