Hidden Surprise Salad

   Wash the lettuce under cold running water.

   Pat dry with paper towels.

   Tear lettuce into bite size pieces and measure 2 cups, packing lightly into measuring cup.

   Put 1 cup of the lettuce into 1 1/2-quart bowl.

   Put sieve over small bowl.

   Empty the can of fruit cocktail into the sieve to drain (save juice to use another time).
