2 tsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tsp water

For the herb seasoning, cook bacon in a medium skillet until browned. Remove from heat. Stir in breadcrumbs, butter, herbs and pepper.

Push herb seasoning under skin of drumsticks. Toss chicken in flour. Shake away excess flour. Heat oil in large saucepan on medium-high heat. Cook chicken, in batches, until browned.

Return chicken to pan. Add beer, stock and Worcestershire sauce; bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low; simmer, covered, for 20 mins, or until chicken is tender, stirring occasionally. Add cornstarch mixture and cook, stirring, until sauce boils and thickens.
