2 cups fat-free vegetable broth
½ cup white wine
⅓ cup soy sauce
⅓ cup apple juice, unsweetened
vegetable stock or water, to soak beans

Drain, and place in slow cooker.

Add vegetable broth, wine, soysauce, and apple juice.

Cover cooker, and cook on low for 5-6 hours, or until carrots, and parsnips are tender.
