Preheat oven to 375F fahrenheit

In a large mixing bowl, mix together the granulated sugar, brown sugar, softened butter, & vanilla extract until creamy.

Add eggs one at a time mixing them into the butter sugar mixture.

Sift together the flour, baking soda, & salt.

Add to the butter sugar mixture & combine together.

Gently stir in chocolate chips & 1 1/2 cups of the spiced gum drops

Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls onto a greased or parchment covered cookie sheet.

Place a few gumdrops on top of each lump of dough to dress up the cookies.

Bake for 9 - 11 minutes.

Allow to cool for 2 minutes on the cookie sheet before transferring to a wire cooling rack.
