Green Tomato Mincemeat – a delicious recipe with green tomatoes, apples, raisins, suet, salt, cider vinegar. Easy to follow and perfect for any occasion.

1 pk. green tomatoes
1/2 pk. apples
2 lb. raisins
1 1/2 c. suet
3 Tbsp. salt
1 c. cider vinegar
4 lb. sugar
2 Tbsp. cloves
2 Tbsp. cinnamon
2 Tbsp. allspice
1 Tbsp. nutmeg

Wash and grind green tomatoes with coarse grind. Drain off juice. Cover with boiling water and let cool. Drain and repeat. Grind apples, raisins and suet. Add rest of ingredients. Combine all in large kettle. Bring to a boil and cook 1 hour. Pour in hot jars and seal. Makes about 9 quarts.
