Gooey Butter Cookies

   Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

   In a medium sized bowl, cream together the cream cheese and the butter.

   Stir in the egg and vanilla.

   Add the cake mix and stir until well blended.

   Roll dough into 1 inch balls and then roll them in the confectioners' sugar. (The dough will be very sticky)

   Place 1 inch apart onto a non-greased cookie sheet (I line my pans with a Silpat or parchment paper).

   Bake for 10 to 13 minutes in the preheated oven. Larger cookies will take about 15 minutes.

   Allow cookies to cool for 2 minutes before placing them on a wire rack.
