Ingredients: 1 lb ground beef; ¼ cup olive oil; 1 cup chopped onion; 2 cloves chopped garlic; 1 (20 ounce) can whole tomatoes; 2 (6 ounce) cans tomato paste; 2 teaspoons salt; ¼ teaspoon pepper; 1 teaspoon basil; 1 bay leaf; ½ teaspoon oregano; 1 lb ricotta cheese; 1 lb mozzarella cheese; ½ cup grated parmesan cheese; 12 lb lasagna noodle (9 pieces)

1 bay leaf

1 lb ricotta cheese
1 lb mozzarella cheese
½ cup grated parmesan cheese
12 lb lasagna noodle (9 pieces)

In olive oil cook onion till transparent.

Add garlic to onion and just heat through.

In a dutch oven add whole tomatoes (break into pieces), tomato paste, onion and garlic, ground beef, salt, pepper, basil, bay leaf and oregano.

Simmer 1 hour until sauce thickens.

Remove bay leaf.

Cook lasagna noodles.

Drain and rinse.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Grease 13 x 9 pan with olive oil.
