1
Pre-heat the oven to 350 degrees. Butter a 9x13 baking dish. (I also used one of those disposable foil pans. It worked out fantastic, but it took about 15 minutes longer to bake)
2
In small saucepan over low heat, melt butter completely.
3
Stir in sugar and continue cooking for 1-2 minutes, stirring constantly. Do not allow sugar mixture to boil.
4
Remove from the heat and stir in the Nutella and espresso until well combined
5
Pour butter mixture into a large bowl or stand mixer, beat in cocoa powder, eggs, egg white, salt, baking powder and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined.
6
Stir in the flour and chocolate chips until just combined.
7
Spread into prepared pan (batter will be very thick and sticky) and bake for about 35-40 minutes, until a tester comes out mostly clean. The edges should be set and the center should still look slightly moist, but not uncooked. Cool on a wire rack.
8
DO NOT CUT UNTIL COMPLETELY COOLED. In fact it is way easier to cut it if you put it in the refrigerator first. Otherwise it is too gooey to cut through.
