Mix raisins, apricots, prunes, nuts and orange juice in a bowl.

Cover and let stand several hours, stirring once or twice. Grease one large 9 x 5-inch loaf pan or 2 small 2 x 3-inch pans. Line with foil.

Drain the fruits, reserving the liquid; add water if necessary to make 1 cup.

In a large bowl, mix together bread mix, egg and the cup of liquid.

Stir until all dry ingredients are completely mixed; add fruits.
