Frozen Cole Slaw – a delicious recipe with head cabbage, onion, vinegar, sugar, salt, carrot. Easy to follow and perfect for any occasion.

Servings: persons

1 medium head cabbage
1 small onion, chopped
1 tsp. mustard seed
1 c. vinegar
1 1/2 to 2 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 carrot, grated
1 sweet pepper, chopped
1 tsp. celery seed
1/4 c. water

Grate cabbage.

Add salt and let stand for 1 hour.

Squeeze juice out.

Add carrot, pepper and onion.

Make a syrup of vinegar, water and sugar.

Boil 1 minute. Pour over cabbage and mix well.

Put in containers and freeze.

This slaw can be refrozen several times.
