French Dip Sandwiches

   Preheat oven to 200u00b0

   Fattiest side up, place roast in the pan and sprinkle with salt and pepper

   Bake in oven for 6 - 9 hours

   Slow cooking will make inexpensive roast tender. (Roast will look dark on outside but nicely cooked.)

   Slice, butter, and toast french rolls

   Mix Au Jus according to directions, add roast drippings if desired

   Thin slice meat, place on toasted rolls and serve with cup of dip.

   ** This works well for inexpensive beef roasts. It's OK for beef to have fat in it, it melts away slowly and helps it to be tender. **
