French Canadian Tourtiere (Meat Pie)

   Combine pork, water, salt, pepper, onion, cinnamon and cloves, cook over medium high heat for 10 min. stirring continuously. Cover and simmer for approximately 10 min or until liquid has evaporated but mixture is still very moist. Remove from heat and add bread crumbs starting with about 1/4 cup until mixture is firm. Adjust seasonings to taste. Cool before filling pie shell. Spoon the meat mixture into the pie crust. Place top crust on top of pie and pinch edges to seal. Cut slits in top crust so steam can escape. Bake at 425 for about 10 minutes, lower to 375 and continue baking until crust is golden brown.
