Freezer Slaw – a delicious recipe with cabbage, carrot, bell pepper, salt, white vinegar, water. Easy to follow and perfect for any occasion.

Servings: persons

2 small or 1 large cabbage, grated
1 carrot, grated
1 bell pepper, grated
1 tsp. salt
1 c. white vinegar
1/2 c. water
2 c. sugar
1 tsp. celery seed
1/2 tsp. mustard seed
1/2 tsp. turmeric

Mix grated cabbage and salt.

Let stand 1 hour.

Squeeze off liquid into saucepan.

Add carrots and bell pepper to liquid.

Mix in vinegar, water, celery seed and sugar.

Boil 1 minute while stirring.

Remove from heat.

Add mustard seed and turmeric.

Cool to room temperature.

Pour over cabbage.
