1 c. cold water
2 c. boiling water
1 Tbsp. oil
1/3 c. chopped green pepper
1 lb. ground steak or hamburger
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. sliced ripe olives
2 1/2 c. cooked tomatoes, chopped
1 Tbsp. chili powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. grated cheese

Add slowly to boiling water and cook slowly, covered, for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Line bottom and sides of a 2-quart casserole with cooked cornmeal.

Cook next 4 ingredients until meat browns, stirring often. Add next 4 ingredients and simmer for 5 minutes, stirring often. Put this mixture in cornmeal lined casserole.
