Combine the ground meat and the ingredients in a bowl.

Add half of the meat to a frying pan, cook until browned, then blend in the food processor.

Mix the rest of the mince mixture with the cooked mince from Step 1 and ingredients, then pack it tightly into a tray that's been greased with a thin layer of oil.

Bake the meat loaf in an oven at 180C for 15 minutes.

Take the tray out of the oven, brush some mirin over the top of the meat and sprinkle over some poppy seeds.

Bake the meat loaf for a further 5-6 minutes.

Once the meat loaf has cooled, remove it from the tray, and cut it into fan shapes if you plan to use it for osechi.
