Preheat the oven to 400u00b0F. Mix 2 3/4 cups of the flour, sugar, salt, egg and 1 stick butter with the dough hook of a electric mixer until blended. Roll out the pastry on a floured surface into a 9 x 12 inch rectangle. Press into a greased 8 x 11 inch rectangular tart pan. Trim edges. Line the pastry with parchment paper and fill with dried beans. Bake the pastry for 10 mins. Remove the parchment paper and beans. Bake 5 mins longer.

Meanwhile, mix remaining 1 cup flour, 5 tbsp butter and honey until coarse crumbs form. Set aside. Mix the mascarpone, egg yolks, orange peel, liqueur and vanilla extract until smooth. Place the figs in the tart pan. Pour the mascarpone mixture over the top. Sprinkle with the crumble mixture.

Bake 30 mins longer. Cool tart in the pan on a wire rack. Sprinkle with the pine nuts.
