   In large bowl, combine 3 cups flour, yeast, sugar, salt and baking soda; set aside.

   In medium saucepan, combine milk and water and heat until very warm (115u00b0 to 120u00b0).

   Add to flour mixture gradually, beating until batter is smooth.

   Gradually add the remaining flour.
