Ingredients: 6 teaspoons Butter; 6 teaspoons Flour; 4 cups Warm Milk; Nutmeg, To Taste; 1 teaspoon Salt, Or To Taste; 1/2 teaspoons Pepper Or To Taste; 6 whole Eggs, Cooked How You Like Them; 6 slices Thick Cut Bread; 6 slices Thin Cut Ham; 1 cup Gruyere Cheese, Grated

6 teaspoons Flour
4 cups Warm Milk
Nutmeg, To Taste

6 slices Thick Cut Bread

1 cup Gruyere Cheese, Grated

Preheat oven to 425 degrees.

For the sauce:

Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Add flour and mix vigorously with a whisk; cook for 1 minute while still whisking. Gradually add milk, mixing with the whisk to prevent lumps. Bring to a slow boil and cook for about 3 minutes. Add nutmeg, salt and pepper.

For the sandwich:

Cook eggs, keep warm. On a cookie sheet, place bread slices. Pour bechamel sauce over each slice. Then layer a slice of ham and some Gruyere cheese over each slice. Bake for 5 minutes or until cheese is melted. Remove and place sandwiches on individual plates and top with eggs. Serve warm.
