Easy White Sauce in the Microwave

   Put the plain flour and butter in a heat-proof bowl and microwave for 30 seconds at 500 W to melt the butter.

   Whisk until it's all smooth.

   Add milk, and mix together thoughroughly.

   Microwave it again for 3 minutes without covering with cling film.

   Mix it well.

   Microwave for a further 3 minutes, again uncovered, until the surface looks done.

   Season with salt and pepper, and add the soup stock granules to complete.

   I used the white sauce to make into spaghetti gratin!

   Half of the sauce was mixed with the sauteed vegetables and cooked spaghetti, and the rest was poured over generously!
