Easy Pumpkin Spice Muffins

   Preheat oven as directed on cake mix box. In a small bowl, mix chocolate chips (if you are using them) and 1 teaspoon of the cake mix.

   In a mixing bowl, mix the remaining cake mix, pumpkin and apple sauce. Again, only if you are using them, fold in 1 cup chocolate chips. Mix to combine. Scoop batter into paper lined muffin tins and bake as directed on cake mix box.

   (This recipe does NOT require the eggs or oil that are normally required in cake mixes! Just the cake mix with the other listed ingredients).
