Easy, Crispy Cookies (with Just Need a Measuring Spoon)

   Whisk together the softened butter and sugar.

   Mix in the egg yolk and vanilla essence.

   Mix together the dry ingredients and sift.

   Add the dry ingredients and mix with a spatula until crumbly (do not knead).

   Bring it all together with your hands.

   Wrap in plastic wrap and let chill in the refrigerator for 15 minutes.

   Roll out with a rolling pin and cut shapes out with cutters.

   Bake in an oven preheated to 170C for 13-15 minutes.

   If making chocolate flavor, sift the cocoa together with the dry ingredients in Step 3.
