1
First, cook your chicken if you didnt have any already cooked on hand.
-
2
I have made this using left over chicken, canned chicken, or uncooked chicken.
-
3
If you have to cook the chicken, boil the chicken breast in water for about 15 mins.
-
4
(I have cooked it in the microwave, in water, once, and it worked just fine)
-
5
In a bowl, mix the chopped chicken, green onions, soy sauce, sugar and sesame oil.
-
6
Mix well.
-
7
Have a little bowl of water near you.
-
8
Use your finger to wet slightly the surface of your pot sticker wrapper.
-
9
Put about a teaspoon of the chicken mixture in the middle.
-
10
Seal firmly and set on a plate until you are done filling all the pot stickers.
-
11
In the end, you should have about 12 stickers.
-
12
To cook, its best to use a non stick pan that has a lid for it.
-
13
If you dont, I am sure you have a pot lid that can work
-
14
Have about 1/2 cup water ready to use.
-
15
Heat up your pan to medium high for about 3 mins, without the oil in it.
-
16
Add your oil.
-
17
Right away, put the stickers in.
-
18
Brown them, uncovered, until golden brown.
-
19
This is very quick.
-
20
Turn them around.
-
21
Right away, pour your water in, and cover.
-
22
This will finish the cooking process by steaming the pot stickers.
-
23
It only takes about a min.
-
24
Remove from heat and enjoy.
-
25
I have made this using a regular pan (not non stick) and it works too, but you need more oil to avoid the stickers from sticking; if you have non stick, definitely use it)
-
26
**Do NOT use regular soy sauce for the filling.
-
27
I did once because I was out of the reduced salt, and it was way too salty!
