2 ½ cups sugar
4 eggs
1 egg yolk
1 ½ teaspoons vanilla extract
½ teaspoon almond extract (see note)
1 cup flour
2 tablespoons flour
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 cup halved dried cherries (pitted)
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Butter and flour a 13X9-inch glass baking dish.

Melt butter and unsweetened chocolate in a heavy, large saucepan over low heat, stirring until smooth.

Remove from heat.

Add extracts, then flour and cinnamon, and stir until just blended.
