   Combine and cook the first 3 ingredients until cracks in cold water or soft ball stage.

   Beat 3 egg whites with vanilla.

   Beat until stiff peaks form; then pour syrup mixture over egg whites and continue beating until thick enough to spoon onto wax paper.
