3/4 c. hot water
2 eggs

1 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. sifted flour

8 oz. cream cheese
milk

Mix nuts, dates, soda, salt and butter.

Add boiling water and let stand for 20 minutes.

Beat eggs; add flavoring, sugar and flour.

Bake in a greased and floured 9 x 5 x 3-inch pan at 350u00b0 for 1 hour.
