Crunchy Cranberry Broccoli Salad

   First make the berry mixture.

   In a small bowl, combine the chopped berries and 1/4 cup sugar. Chill mixture until serving time.

   Make the dressing.

   In small bowl, combine the mayonnaise, 1/4 cup sugar and 1 tablespoon vinegar

   Make the salad

   Combine the broccoli florets, the shredded cabbage/carrot mixture, the nuts, the raisins, and the onion. Drizzle the dressing over the salad and toss. Chill salad from 1 to 24 hours. Just before serving, gently fold in the cranberry mixture and the crisp bacon.
