   Combine the Sichuan pepper powder and salt in a bowl.

   Put the nuts in a frying pan and add enough vegetable oil to coat them.

   Slowly shallow fry them over low heat while stirring.

   When the nuts are lightly browned, drain into a colander and pat the oil off lightly with paper towels.

   Transfer the nuts to the Step 1 bowl while they are still hot.
