Bring chicken stock to a simmer in medium saucepan.Add asparagus, cover and cook over medium heat,around 10 minutes.Or until asparagus is tender.

n another saucepan, saute' onion with butter in low heat fro around 5 minutes. Blend in flour mixture and stir for 2 to 3 minutes.Do not brown. Add mushroom to onion mixture. Cover and cook until mushroom are tender. Gradually add asparagus mixture to the onion mixture stirring constantly for 3 to 5 minutes. Add milk and garlic salt. Heat but do not boil.Garnish with parsley,basil or mint. Serve hot
