Crispy Apple Crumble

   Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

   In a frying pan, heat the chopped walnuts for 3 to 4 minutes to prevent them from becoming soft during cooking.

   Place the nuts, rolled oats, butter, sugar, and flour in a large bowl. With your fingers, mix the ingredients until you achieve a slightly thick and sandy consistency.

   Place apples in an oven dish and drizzle the maple syrup over the apples. Mix, then top with the crumble mixture.
