   Combine the sugar, flour, baking soda, cocoa and salt and sift into an 8-inch square pan.

   Make 3 holes in the sifted dry ingredients.

   Into the 3 holes, add the salad oil, vanilla and the white vinegar.

   Lastly, add the 1 cup of cold water over all and stir with a fork until well blended.

   Bake in 350u00b0 oven for 30 minutes.
