Cornstarch-Gelatin Finger Paint

   In a small pan, add 3/4 cup cold water to cornstarch and stir into a smooth paste.

   Soak gelatin in 1/4 cup cold water.

   Pour 2 cups boiling water into the cornstarch paste, stirring constantly. Cook and stir over medium heat until mixture comes to a boil and is clear.

   Remove from heat and stir in the dissolved gelatin.

   Add food coloring or tempera paint for color.

   Texture such as cornmeal, sawdust or coffee grounds may be added as desired.
